Reclaiming end-of-life as a passage we navigate together, grounded in relationship, compassion, and community.
Boston End-of-Life Doula & Death Educator
How we approach the end of life shapes how we live, how we care for one another, and how we say goodbye. As an end-of-life doula and death educator serving Boston and Greater Boston, I help individuals and families navigate this deeply human passage with greater clarity, intention, and connection.
Through advance care planning, meaningful conversations, and personalized support, I help make space for the questions, decisions, and relationships that matter most. My approach recognizes that death is not simply a medical event, but a relational experience—one we deserve to navigate with compassion, dignity, and support.
My Services
End-of-life care is about more than what happens at the bedside. I offer support with the practical, emotional, relational, and meaningful work that surrounds dying, death, and bereavement.
-
Thoughtful preparation can reduce stress, create clarity, and help ensure your wishes are known and honored. I provide guidance and structured support for end-of-life planning, including organizing a comprehensive “critical information file” with health care and legal contacts, important account and digital information, and other essential details. I also facilitate meaningful conversations between individuals and families about values, preferences, fears, and priorities. When legal documents are needed, I can help you identify and connect with the appropriate professionals to create or execute them.
-
Reflection and storytelling can create space for meaning, healing, and connection. I offer guided life review to explore experiences, relationships, and the values that have shaped your life, as well as support in creating meaningful legacy projects - from photo and recipe books to audio or video recordings, ethical wills, charitable legacies, and personalized keepsakes for loved ones.
-
Support during serious illness centers on comfort, clarity, and connection. I offer a steady, compassionate presence; help families stay in conversation as needs and wishes evolve; and bring structure to the practical details of daily life, from meals and visitors to communication and household support.
-
Caregivers deserve care, too. I offer education about anticipatory grief, caregiver stress, and what to expect during the dying process, along with a confidential, non-judgmental space to process the challenges of caregiving. I also support caregivers in building skills around communication, boundaries, and decision-making while encouraging self-advocacy, self-care, and reaching out for help when it’s needed.
-
Honoring life and loss in meaningful ways. I help individuals and families plan and create meaningful rituals, ceremonies, and celebrations of life, whether you're preparing in advance or gathering after a death. I can help you shape the ceremony, write or develop an obituary or eulogy, coordinate the details of a gathering, and facilitate or officiate the service. I work with you to ensure these moments reflect your relationships, values, and religious, spiritual, or cultural traditions.
-
Support does not end at the moment of death. I provide practical and emotional support in the days and weeks that follow, including on-call support during acute grief, help for executors and family members as they sort through belongings and make decisions, and assistance with the administrative and practical tasks that come with settling into life after a death.
Let’s connect
You may be planning ahead, adjusting to a new diagnosis, caring for someone you love, or hoping to bring more open conversations about mortality into your community. Wherever you find yourself, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
Our work together begins simply - with a conversation.
